The course is divided into 4 parts

Fundamentals of Drawing

Fundamentals of Drawing will be the base foundation of drawing for the students where the instructor will teach them observation, getting used to drawing, how to approach a drawing, simple to advance techniques used in sketching, etc. The topics covered are as follow-

• Line

Students will be taught multiple exercises, how to draw confident strokes, how to use pencil, how to use line weight (where to use thick and thin line), how to draw efficiently, line variation, types of line, line control, etc.

• Shapes

Every object, animals, birds, humans are made out of certain shapes. Students will be taught how to recognise this shapes, how to study them, types of shapes, how to manipulate shapes, shape language, shape variation, how to draw using shapes.

• Form

When shapes becomes 3-D, it is called form E.g Sphere, cube, cylinder. Student will be taught understanding form, stuying them, creating form, using it in drawings, complex forms, etc.

• Perspective

Everything we see through our eyes is based on certain perspectives. Students will be taught types of perspective- one point perspective, two point and three point perspective, fish eye perspective, atmospheric perspective; how to draw objects in perspective, how to draw landscapes, cityscapes, environments in perspectives.

• Proportions

Understanding proportions, size ratio, taking measurements, exaggerating proportions, human proportions, etc,

• Composition

Students will be taught arrangement of objects, framing of objects, uses of positive and negative space, types of compositions, composition rules & principles.

• Basic Values ( light and shadow)

Study of light and shadows, value scale, how light reacts on different materials, creating depth.

• Sketching

Various types of techniques used in sketching, how to create sketchbook, loose sketching, etc.

• Gesture

Students will be taught to draw gestures, how to create energy and rythm in drawings, how to use flow in drawing.

• Basic anatomy

Study of basic human muscle groups, facial anatomy for portraiture, basic animal anatomy.

• Observational Drawing

Students will be taught Live drawing, observing from real life, sketching from observation, etc.

Basic to advance drawing techniques

This portion will focus on drawing practices,

• Advance Sketching

Drawing and sketching complex objects E.g- Cars, machines, Guns.

• Hatching

Various types of hatching, form hatching, creating depth using hatching, quick sketches.

• Shading

This portion teaches realistic shading, graphite shading using pencils and pastels, blending, texture shading.

• 360' drawing

Learn to draw objects from any angle at any direction, learn to rotate any object in drawing at 360' degree.

• Rendering

Learn to finish and render a drawing into an artpiece/artwork.

• Artistic approach

How to push drawing furthe, learn to create stunning art pieces, take an artistic approach elevating the drawing to a next level.

• Full/Advance anatomy

Learn to understand and draw full human muscle structure and its functioning.

• Figure Drawing

Learn to draw full human body, structure study, figure shading.

This portion includes Drawing Portraiture, Still life, Drappery, Landscapes & Environments, Vehicles, Animals & Humans, etc.

Painting

This portion teaches the student painting using different art mediums such as Charcoal, Watercolor, Acrylic, Pencilcolor, Postercolor ,etc.

• Brushwork

How to draw/paint using paint brush, brush techniques, how to use palette knife, different types of brushes and their uses, edge control.

• Color theory

Understanding color, getting used to them, studying primary-secondary-tertiary colors, color theory & color schemes.

• Values (light & shadow)

Understanding and studying color values, how light and shadow works in color, tones, saturation.

• Color mixing

Understanding pigments, mixing multiple colors to create realistic colors, creating lighter and darker shades, creating different colors using primary colors.

• Rendering

Redering a painting into a final artpiece/ artwork.

• Canvas painting

Students will be taught how to use and paint on canvas as it is one of the most famous medium of painting.

• Monochrome Painting

Creating paintings using diffrent shades/values of a single color.

• Paint and color mediums

Different mediums that includes Charcoal, Pencil color, Watercolor, Acrylic, Poster color will be taught thoroughly with detailed multiple practical demos of each medium.

Design

• Drawing from Imagination/ drawing from visual library

Bring your Imaginary ideas to life, create stunning artpieces and artworks from your imagination, learn brainstorming, idea bashing, etc.

This portion focuses on designing, creating original art, presenting art, etc.

• Shape design

Learn to design shapes into creating interesting subjects

• Draw original characters/Environments

Create your own characters and environments using your creativity, learn ideation, creative design exercises, etc.
